Privacy Policy
Fifth Axis Labs ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Lucideck mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is straightforward: we collect very little data, and what we do collect stays on your device.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Photos or images from your camera or photo library
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Usage analytics or crash reports (beyond what Apple provides to all developers)
Information Stored On Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device only, using your device's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:
- Flashcard content you create (words, translations, notes)
- Deck names and study session history
- App preferences and settings
Camera and Photo Library Access
The App requests access to your camera and photo library solely to allow you to photograph or select images containing text for flashcard creation. Images are processed on your device to extract text and are discarded immediately afterward. No images are uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.
Third-Party Services
To provide translation functionality, the App may send extracted text to the Google Translate API. Text submitted for translation is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. No other personal or identifying information is sent alongside this text.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
